I remembered starting my Mumpreneur journey 12 years ago, a decision that was made after becoming a wife and becoming a new mother to start a side business to support my spouse at the same time to be able to care for my newborn child.
I could remember all the sacrifices and challenges that I had to go through and I realized one thing as an entrepreneur. It can be a scary and lonely journey. Where do I start? What should I do to sustain and keep the business going. Can I actually do this? What if I fail?
However, it was one thing that kept me going. It was my inner circle. The great support I had which started from my parents, family members, my friends, strangers turned friends which became my circle of network.
Without the support and faith of the people who had the belief and trust in me, I would not be able to be where I am today.
That was where I decided to start WICTS to pay it forward to the community through my knowledge and skills as a Trainer, Facilitator and Mindfulness Coach during the pandemic to support the women and freelancers within my network who are facing business and wellbeing challenges as they are navigating their journeys in their various ventures and initiatives.
Before WICTS, I failed so many times starting my own communities. There were so many lessons that I had to go through and as I shifted my mindset and recovered from my setbacks, I became wiser and learn to set my own boundaries and I learn to manage my energy.
I have learnt we cant help others if they are not willing to help themselves. I have learnt that everyone grow at their own pace and it takes time for each of us to discover our strengths, identifying our purpose in life and what we really want to do. I have learnt that when we reach out to others who are in pain with so many challenges helping them to make ease of their challenges in the way that we can despite our own challenges, opportunities and that kindness will come back in so many ways that we will never expect.
I have always believed in education and that is how I hope to inspire the WICTS members so that they can pay it forward to others in the community in their own way to help others to survive. As we never know that knowledge that we share can actually save their lives.
I have always believed that, people will not really remember what we say but they will always remember how we make them feel. Through our words, kindness and compassion towards ourselves and others.
